FUUSM Weekly Update - Tuesday April 30, 2024

The Work That Reconnect Workshop Series Ahead

Beginning Tues. May 7 at 7-9 pm, Rev. Hilary Krivchenia will be offering a
five week workshop series on the Work That Reconnects, founded by Joanna
Macy. It unfolds as a spiral journey that helps us face and address our
grief and anger about the planet. The series will be held in person in the
social hall here at FUUSM. Please contact Hilary for more information at
wtrspiraljourney at gmail.com. There is a requested donation but the standard
is give more if you can and less if you can’t. No one will be excluded for
financial reasons. Preregistration is required. There are informational
flyers downstairs and with Mark or Megan Krivchenia and Dawn Hewitt.

Service Auction Events Still Available for Sign-up!

Several events offered for live bidding as well as fixed-price items are
still available for sign-up. Sheets are available in the social hall. Just
add your name and phone number, and Al Tuttle will take it from there.

The week ahead:

Monday April 29: Office closed

Tuesday April 30: Jane Tumas Serna subbing for Dawn

   -

   3:30–6:30 p.m., Girl Scout Troop in social hall.

Wednesday May 1

   -

   Noon, Meditation via Zoom.

   5 p.m., Worship & Music Committee meeting, RE parlor.
   -

   7 p.m., Private use of social hall (Diana Bonnell’s Religious Trauma
   group).

Thursday May 2: Jane Tumas Serna subbing for Dawn

   5:30–8 p.m., outside group rental of social hall (Cindy Brown)

Friday May 3: Dawn off; Kat filling in.

   -

   9:30 a.m., Membership Committee meeting, RE parlor.
   -

   7–9 p.m., Private group use of social hall (Laura DeLancy’s Stitch &
   ?itch group); all women are welcome! Bring your handicraft and a snack for
   a creative gabfest.

Sunday May 5

   -

   9:30 a.m., Choir practice, sanctuary.

   9:30 a.m., New UU course, social hall.

   11 a.m., Sunday service, Article II: Amplifying the Charge.

   11 a.m., MOV Quaker meeting, RE parlor.

   Noonish, following the service: All-ages dance around the maypole!

   12:15–1:15 p.m., Coffee Hour! Social hall.
