Annual Congregational Meeting Ahead

Mark your calendar: FUUSM’s annual Congregational Meeting will follow the
Sunday service on April 28. If you wish to add an item, such as a motion,
to the meeting’s agenda, it must be submitted to Board of Trustees
Secretary Nancy Luthy by April 14: nancy.luthy at gmail.com.

*Invitation to a talk on Christian Nationalism and the Democratic Crisis*

The FUUSM Congregation has personally been invited to attend a Marietta
College presentation on Christian Nationalism and Democratic Crisis, by
guest lecturer Dr. Randall Balmer, the John Phillips Chair in Religion at
Dartmouth.The talk is at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at McDonough Auditorium

*Seeking a Substitute Office Assistant*
Dawn will be taking the week of April 29–May 3 off. Would you consider
covering FUUSM Office hours (Monday or Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.)? Just one
day, or both. Answer the phone, print the order of service, update the
Wayside Pulpit, etc. Thanks! (Jane Tumas Serna has kindly stepped up for
office hours on Tuesday and Thursday.)

   9:30 a.m., Choir practice, sanctuary. New members are always welcome!

   11 a.m, Sunday service, sanctuary: *What Can One Person Do?* This is the
   annual service led by the Green Sanctuary Committee. The reflection will be
   a team effort, aimed to inspire!
