[Fuusm-l] New Member Welcome Ceremony June 11th

*Are you ready to become a member of the First Unitarian Universalist
Society of Marietta?*

If you have been attending Sunday services for awhile and found yourself
coming back again and again and feel that Unitarian Universalism is the
right tradition for you or your family, we encourage you to become a member
during a *New Member Welcome Ceremony on Sunday, June 11th.*

*To become a member, *you simply need to sign our historic membership book
as part of the ceremony. You will be formally introduced to the
congregation, and the new members and congregation will make promises of
mutual support. We rely on members to support First UU through attendance
in services, volunteering, and financial support. Becoming a member also
strengthens our faith denomination’s presence in this country. We don’t
require that our members have any particular set of beliefs. You will know
what feels right for you, and we will respect and support your journey.

If you would like to be included in the June 11 welcoming ceremony, please
contact the church office (740-373-1238, fuusm at suddenlinkmail.com, or
fuusm.office at gmail.com) *by June 4*.

There are many reasons to become a member of First UU, but the decision to
join is a personal one, and no formal ceremony is required. If you prefer
to become a member at another time, you can make an appointment with Rev.
Kat ( text 937-470-4151 or revkatgreen at gmail.com) to get acquainted, ask
questions, and sign the book when you are ready.

We welcome you! If you choose to support the life and principles of our
church, we invite you to become a member.
