We will meet on Sunday, May 14 to discuss the following readings: :

“Georgia O’Keefe’s works on paper,
<https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2023/05/08/georgia-okeeffe-before-she-was-famous>”
by Jackson Arne. This is on page 80 of the May 8 issue of the New Yorker.
It also seems to open online without a subscription, but I’ve posted a Google
Docs File

also. The paper magazine includes only one picture, but the online has
four. The article is a review of an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art
in New York and you can see more pictures on their site.
<https://www.moma.org/calendar/exhibitions/5493> The exhibition is of her
early works on paper, for our discussion we will go on to view and discuss
her later oil paintings as well. We will have a slide show of her work

.

Also from the May 8 New Yorker, on page 74“Why the fire that started in
Waco still burns

This focuses on Koresh and the Branch Davidians as well as the Oklahoma
City bombing and related incidents.
