For Sunday January 22, 2023, we will discuss:

Fintan O’Toole’s essay “Dress Rehearsal.” from the January 19 issue of the
New York Review of Books. He argues that “Trump’s attempt almost two years
ago to undermine the 2020 election reads today like a blueprint drawn for a
future autocrat.” Click here for a printable Google Docs copy

Basically, Trump’s attempt to subvert the election failed because he
strategized it poorly.

Also, two readings on the water supply issue and its effect of the mass
movement of people around the globe: The second author predicts a dire
2023 and beyond.

And Climate change could force 1.2 billion to move by 2050. Is the world
even remotely ready?
