 A UU minister was busy writing a reflection on social action. Someone
called and asked what time the service began. The minister answered.....

*It's back!*
COVID is rearing its ugly head again locally. Several FUUSM members and
friends have tested positive lately. If you have symptoms of a cold or the
flu, please test. If your test shows negative, please test again a day or
two later. If you have symptoms of any kind, please consider wearing a mask
whenever you are around other people. We don't want COVID, but we also
don't want to catch a cold or the flu. Masks are considerate, even if
they're not required.

Saturday, December 16

   8 a.m.–1 p.m., Private group use of social hall (Willa O’Neill).
   - noon–3 p.m., Bakers' Fest at the Cutler Community Center, 4550 Two
   Mile Run Road in Cutler. $10 entry for all the sweets you can taste! Also
   includes one all-beef hotdog, a bag of chips, and a soda. Funds benefit
   RIEOSO, the Research and Identification of Early Occupancy of Southern Ohio.

Sunday, December 17

   9:30 a.m., Choir practice, sanctuary. New members are always welcome!

   9:30 a.m., Buildings & Grounds Committee, social hall. (Held this month
   on the third Sunday, rather than on Christmas Eve.)

   11 a.m., Sunday service, sanctuary: Simple Joys.

   Coffee hour!  RE social hall.

   12:30 p.m, Green Sanctuary Committee meeting, RE parlor.

   4 p.m., Solstice Watch, hosted by The Castle, Sacra Via park.

   7 p.m., Winter Solstice Spiral ceremony, social hall. Set-up begins at
   6, and helpers are needed.

Sunday, December 24

   -

   11 a.m., Holiday potluck brunch! Bring a food dish to share, and be
   prepared to sing carols! (No 11 a.m. service in the sanctuary.)

   7 p.m., Christmas Eve candlelight service, sanctuary.
