Women's Group potluck UPDATE: The meeting will be held
at the FUUSM social hall at 6 pm. Please bring a dish to share,
but just as importantly please bring either some flowers (in a
glass jar to be given to another woman who is attending) or
fruit or vegetables. We'll exchange the flowers/produce so
everyone has something to take home as a gift. The theme is
Active Hope (you can read more in the Joanna Macy book by the same
name). We'll share our hopes for today and tomorrow. Don't
forget to confirm in return email to me if you are attending (for
planning purposes). See you August 9th. Annie Warmke and Anita

A little Unitarian Universalist
girl was sitting on the curb in front of her house with a
sad look on her face. An older woman happened upon her and
asked her why she looked so sad. The girl replied, “My
hamster died.” The older woman, trying to be helpful, said
to the little girl, “I know you’re sad, but right now your
hamster is with Jesus.” (The little girl’s response is
somewhere below.)
