Community support is needed 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday of this week to help drive Marietta College students (in your own vehicle) to the Board of Elections Office for early voting. Pick up on campus at the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center. Rev. Sunday, Nov. 6: Daylight Saving Time Ends. Don’t forget to set your clocks back an hour.

  a.. 9:30 a.m., Today’s Issues in the RE building parlor and on Zoom. 
  b.. 9:30 a.m., choir practice in the sanctuary.
  c.. 11 a.m., Worship Service, live in the sanctuary, on Facebook, and via Zoom: Welcoming and Belonging, by FUUSM Membership Committee. How can I learn more about what Unitarian Universalists believe? Is First UU Society of Marietta a place where I can belong? What do I have to do to become a member of FUUSM? What if I just want to attend worship services or participate in FUUSM activities or events? How can I be more active in the congregation? The Welcoming/Membership Committee may not have the answers to all these questions, but they usually know who does. The committee will introduce themselves, talk about what they do, and explain how you can help them. On this Membership Sunday, a New Member Welcome will be part of the service. If you are a FUUSM friend and would like to become a voting member of FUUSM, please contact Rev. Kat (revkatgreen at gmail.com), Dawn at the FUUSM Office (fuusm.office at gmail.com), or Membership Committee Chair Elaine Barr (elainebarr at gmail.com) before the November 6th service.

The Caring Committee is asking for donations of baked goods and apple cider for Tom Sharretts’ Memorial Service on Sunday, November 13, at 1 p.m. If you can help, please contact Cathy Rees at (740) 336-0837 (text only), or email rrees501 at hotmail.com.

Save the date: 6 p.m. Nov. 20, candlelight vigil for the national Transgender Day of Remembrance in the FUUSM courtyard. A social hour (or so) will follow in the social hall beginning about 7. OUTMOV will provide coffee and refreshments.
