I totally agree with you, Brenda. It is very, very sad news! Tom called me
often to ask for advise, a ride or tell me he had extra play or concert
tickets if I wanted to go. We went to many together (as long as I picked
him up!). I'll never forget Paula Poundstone!!! Fortunately, on his
birthday, September 13th, I asked him to lunch to celebrate. I was supposed
to pick him up at his place, but he met me on Wayne Street at my doctor's
office. We went to Empire Buffet and I bought a huge Chinese feast which we
took to Lookout Park to enjoy the surroundings. Spent most of his birthday
with him. Then two days before he passed, for some reason on my way to the
Reno post office, I was guided to stop to see him. His house was on my way
to the post office. I got to talk to him for at least an hour. And...every
time I saw him he always told me what an inspiration I was to him...he did
then, too❣️ So glad I got to see him then!
