Dear FUUSM Friends,
News has reached our community that Gwen Noe passed peacefully in her 
sleep Friday Nov. 11.  She fell and broke her hip in Pittsburgh in 
August, and as is so often the case, never regained her full strength.
She was a strong and capable woman, married to Jim Noe for 54 years (he 
died in 2016). They raised 4 sons here in Marietta.  Gwen was a fabric 
artist associated with Riverside Artists Coop, and some of her items 
will be displayed at the service.  She was supportive of many local 
initiatives for woodland education and promulgating native plants, and 
was a member of the Woodchucks (aka Wuchaks).
Her presence at the FUUSM women’s gathering last December was a
highlight of the event, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew 
her.
There will be a Celebration of Life at F.U.U.S.M. for her family and 
friends on Saturday, November 26 at 2pm followed by a “light lunch” menu 
and desserts for hospitality refreshments.
The Caring Committee is in need of food contributions and service 
volunteers for the service on Sat. Nov. 26.  We acknowledge it is a busy 
weekend and some folks may be out of town.  Please call the F.U.U.S.M.
