  b.. 6 p.m., Women’s Group Holiday Potluck at The Fields clubhouse in Williamstown. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Table service, both meat and vegetarian lasagna, and assorted beverages (coffee, water, a little wine) will be provided. Please bring a dish to share. In addition to check-in, we’ll also share stories that have been guides for us over the years. Please RSVP by TODAY, Monday, December 12, if you plan to join us. At the light in front of DaVinci’s, turn right onto Route 14 and go slightly less than a mile and a half. Turn left into the drive to the condo community. (There is a sign and a yellow & black post at Route 14.) The drive intersects with a street that circles the green in the center of the condos. You will see the clubhouse straight in front of you. The clubhouse has a parking lot in front, and you can also park on the street. The Fields also comes up on GPS. If you need help, call Martha on her cell phone: 304-834-9600.   c.. 9:30 a.m. Buildings & Grounds Committee meeting, social hall. 
  d.. 11 a.m., Sunday Service: When the Secular and Sacred Intertwine; Fourth Sunday of Advent: Peace. 
  e.. Coffee hour, Tom Cunningham and Annie Warmke could use a helper. Could it be you?

Animals of the Earth: We are collecting donations for the Humane Society throughout December in the social hall. Also, bring stuffed animals to loan for our display. 

A note from FUUSM Board of Trustees: 

Holiday gift donations to the FUUSM staff must be turned in by Sunday, December 18, in order to allow time for distribution before Christmas. Write a check to FUUSM, including a note on the memo line that states “Staff Gifts,” or, use cash. Either way, place it in an envelope also marked “Staff Gifts,” and place in the offering plate on Sunday, or place it in a box marked “Staff Gifts” in the back of the sanctuary or downstairs in the social hall; or drop it off at the FUUSM office or in the mail cubby in the hallway for "Treasurer Ted Goertzel" or for "Steve Meyer, financial assistant." You may also mail a check to FUUSM, 232 Third St., Marietta, OH 45750, but please do not mail cash! For bookkeeping accountability and safety’s sake, checks are preferred. Thank you for your generosity! Attention to these gifting details is much appreciated!  

FUUSM representatives are needed to serve on the Empty Bowls planning committee. If this is your calling, please contact Virginia Mayle at (740) 376-9921. 

Warming House Volunteers Needed
Thank you to everyone who has contributed a meal for the Warming House so far this fall. I am looking for more volunteers for January and February. Thursdays are our days to provide meals for 10 to 12 people. Meals can be dropped off between 11:30 and noon at the Community Resource Center, which is right beside the flag store on Front Street.
