·       9:30 a.m., choir practice, sanctuary

·       9:30 a.m., Today’s Issues discussion, RE building parlor

·       11 a.m., Service: Art, an Instrument for Buildilng Community, Geoff Schenkel, guest speaker; followed by coffee hour in the social hall.

·     1–3 p.m., First Daughter and the Black Snake, free screening, FUUSM social hall. Winona LaDuke believes Big Oil is the black snake predicted in Indigenous prophecy to bring earth’s destruction. When proposed new oil pipelines threaten sacred wild rice lakes, LaDuke dreams of organizing a spiritual ride, riding her horse against the current of oil, “because a horse can kill a snake.” Please join the Green Sanctuary Committee’s Honoring Indigenous People team for this documentary film as we continue to learn about the courageous Indigenous People who are Water and Land Protectors.
