Sun. June 6 Building & Grounds Committee (9:30am)
Although we are transitioning to in-person services, at this time Sunday Services in the Sanctuary are primarily focused on Zoom presentations, yet people are welcome to attend in person to experience a "Watch Party" observing the service as presented.
Timing will be 11 a.m. for virtual service, (which can be viewed on the monitor in the Sanctuary); 12p.m. (noon) for outside activity (if scheduled). COVID safety protocols followed at all times.
Sunday June 6, 2021 Flower Communion ~ Live Service and Ceremony.
Bring your flower or plant to share in this annual exchange as we build a community bouquet. The Flower Communion will be different this year. Safety measures (sign-in, masks and healthy spacing) will be followed, and everyone is invited to bring a flower from home. (Extras will be available, and are welcome if you have some to bring). The gathered bouquet is a symbol of diversity. In the entry way, the congregation will contribute and create bouquets in vases, that will be brought forward during the service. We will use the aisles for healthy spacing as we exit in one direction, taking a different flower from the display to carry it home. There will also be a Flower Meditation (slideshow) - Send your photos to Rev. Kat. The Zoom presentation will not be the focus of this service, but it will be available.
Surprise! Special Plant Sale on Flower Communion Sunday (June 6)
As part of Flower Communion Sunday, the Plant Sale Committee will have a selection of plants available for donations
to FUUSM. Our regular sale has been moved to September (exact date TBA), but some of Chris Hoke's fabulous annuals and a surprise mix of other plants will be in the church courtyard. We have not been able to hold our regular fundraisers
for some time now, so please consider adding more plants to your life. - Submitted by Rebecca Phillips

Current FUUSM Guidelines for Building Use
*If attendee is not feeling well, they should not attend *All attendees sign in and provide information requested.
*Maintain 6 ft. distance, “take turns” entering, exiting, & taking seats to allow spacing. (Sanctuary capacity 25-50; Fellowship Hall capacity - 15).
*Use face masks that cover nose and mouth. We have some available if you forget to bring your own.
*Wash hands/use hand sanitizer upon entering building.
*No food or beverages in the building– you can’t eat/drink with a face mask on. *One person in a bathroom at a time.
CDC recommends fully vaccinated people can safely gather together outdoors in small groups without masks.
The Board of Trustees will be reviewing possible changes to the guidelines for the future and welcomes input, although we will continue to be guided by science and safety. covidactnow.org data shows Washington Co. Ohio at medium risk, with only 38% with one dose or more vaccination
(daily new cases, *per 100k is 6.7). Wood Co. WV is similar with slightly more new cases *8.6).
The Cherish ALL Life Project You’re invited to make a mini movie on your phone to investigate this years’ theme question: How can we be mindful and authentic in cherishing all life? Photos are welcome for the final product but try a short movie & send it to me – Jane Tumas-Serna (jtumas.serna at gmail.com)
