The Today's Issues group meets in the Parlor of the Religious Education
building next to the church at 9:30 on Sunday mornings. For this Sunday we
will be discussing two essays from the August 19 New York Review of Books:
Page 50, David Cole, "Waiting to Deflate

a review of two recent books that try to explain the seemingly irrational
behavior behind speculative bubbles, from the tulip craze of the 1600s to
Bitcoin today.
Page 56, David Cole, "Surprising Consensus at the Supreme Court
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1mGfAD5q2dzSMAPwz2Wfx00PHgz_OvDquL7PDlGHHStQ/edit?usp=sharing>,"
With
narrow rulings in many of its most controversial cases, the Court defied
predictions of a sharp turn to the right.
Please check out the readings, which are attached, and join our lively
discussion.
