Dear FUUSM friends,
Just a reminder that we are hosting a modified online-only plant sale for members and friends this year and are still accepting plant donations. Please send your list to me (bennphil at hotmail.com) by 11:00 PM on Sunday, May 24.
However, because we are creating an online catalog, we will need very specific information from you:
* plant name
* number of plants/clumps/containers (because we can sell only as many as we have)
* size of plant/container (to allow us to price them for the online catalog)
* plant description--and if you have a photo, that is even better!
* whether it is a native plant (if you know)
* growing requirements (sun/shade, how much water, that kind of thing)
Here is an example of what I mean.
Rudbeckia hirta (brown-eyed Susan)--15 4-inch pots
Mostly yellow daisy with brown center. 2-3'. Full sun, drought-tolerant, deer-resistant. Good butterfly plant. Native to eastern US. Short-lived but self-sows. Does well in containers.
Please send your list of plants to me (bennphil at hotmail.com) no later than 11:00 PM Sunday, May 24. The online catalog should arrive in your e-mail inbox on May 30. Details on how to order will arrive in a later message.
Plant donors: we will be packing orders on Friday, June 5, so all plants will need to be delivered to the church courtyard no later than 9:00 AM on that day. All plants will need to be labeled so that our packing volunteers know what is what.
Thank you for all your contributions to our FUUSM community.
