Camden Clark Memorial Hospital and the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Marietta are sponsoring a free First Aid Clinic on Saturday March 28.

The Stop The Bleed one-hour clinic is taught by Dr. Bill Cline and Camden Clark trauma Director Chris Dellinger and their staff at 10 am in the church fellowship hall at 232 Third St.

Registration is free, but required by Friday, March 20, so adequate staffing may be scheduled.

“This course is designed to train individuals on what to do as an immediate responder in a bleeding emergency and covers the ABCs of bleeding as a method to stop an active bleed,” Dellinger said. “The course includes a class presentation and hands-on skills demonstration on tourniquet application, wound packing, and pressure application.”

At the conclusion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion.

The community out-reach is being offered by the church as a way to connect people and organizations interested in promoting health and safety in the Mid Ohio Valley.

Registration may be made by calling church Secretary Chris Keller at 740-373–1238. Leave name, phone number and email address. The first 40 people will be accommodated.
