The Today's Issues group continues to meet at 9:30 on Sunday mornings in
the parlor of the Religious Education building, following social distancing
rules. For this Sunday, the first of the New Year, we will discuss two
essays;
James Fallows, "How Far Should Biden Go?" from the Atlantic JanuaryFebruary
2021 issue. He discusses what the Biden administration should do about
various transgressions by Trump and his associates.
Jackson Lears, "The Orthodoxy of the Elites
<https://www.nybooks.com/articles/2021/01/14/orthodoxy-of-the-elites/>," a
review of Anne Applebaum's book *Twilight of Democracy: The Seductive Lure
of Authoritarianism*
These essays are interesting reading even if you don't plan to come to the
discussion, and I'm attaching a printable copy

If you would like to try joining us via Zoom, email me and I'll set it up.
