Many thanks to all those of all ages who participated in the Holiday Card Project for area nursing homes.  All the cards have gone out and many have been returned.  Well done showing love in action. Please return them to FUUSM by Thursday Dec. 10th.  Thank you very much.

Sun. Dec.  13  (11am) Zoom  Light One Candle    Winter Holidays in Many Faiths

When we focus on what the various holidays have in common, we need not ignore the unique and different contexts and cultures out of which they arise.  We affirm the unity and diversity of each expression, mindful of our shared and similar symbols and authentic in what we acknowledge is different. Diwali does not light candles in the dark to affirm the growing light. One example:  Channukah is not a Jewish version of Christmas.


Sun. Dec. 13   THIS GATHERING HAS BEEN CANCELLED due to COVID Restrictions.
Hope for the Holidays -  Suicide Awareness Alliance of Washington County
Remembering loved ones lost to suicide is still a vital issue for families in our community.  Reach out to those impacted, with compassion and support even though the vigil has been cancelled.

Mon. Dec. 14   The In-person Women’s Group has been postponed until February when it may be safer to gather in-person.

Thurs. Dec. 24    Annual Christmas Eve – Ring Out Wild Bells
Because of the early sunset, the time has been changed to make the Reverse Parade safer.
Gather before (5pm) when we will start the parade past FUUSM to share greetings, 
ring bells and share holiday cheer.
Let us bring Joy to the World and answer the call to celebrate in unity and peace.

Line up in the bank parking lot before 5pm, bring your bells if you have them.
The parade of cars will turn right out of the bank drive-thru aisles onto 3rd Street, move slowly past the front of FUUSM and turn right again at the light onto Putnam Street, where attendants with baskets with gratefully receive your gifts and offerings.  Enjoy the rest of your evening as you go about your merry way. 
Please join us for a Candlelight Service on Zoom (8pm) -use the FUUSM Main Link to gather from home.
There will be music, readings and a bedtime story; plan to have your candles ready at home for a glowing time on Zoom.


FUUSM Office Hours
Access to the FUUSM Office is limited at this time for safety purposes.  Masks are required.   
Please call before you come in as the Office will be staffed by volunteers for a time.
Please sign in and out each time you enter any of the buildings. 
Use the FUUSM Building Entry Log (bright red folder) in the Office, Sanctuary & Social Hall.
