[Fuusm-l] Holiday Card Project Progress Report

*In Service of Season's Greetings*

What a wonderful FUUSM family you are! We've had a great response to the
holiday card project, with most of the packets already picked up or
distributed. (As of Wednesday, 12/3, there were only 5 packets left to be
handed out to those who wished to participate.) Our thanks to all of you
for helping with this community service project.

*In case you missed them, here are some guidelines for completing your
holiday cards:*

*- Schedule your at-home card-writing workshop!*

Your packet includes a sheet of *suggested* greetings, but you may feel
these suggestions don't seem right during these uncertain times. So be
original: it's even better that you choose your own words. Please sign your
name to the card.

*Some packets are for families with young ones,* because they include
holiday-themed coloring sheets that can be a special gift for children to
add with the cards. (Of course they can also do their own original art work
if they'd prefer.)

* - Using holiday cards and envelopes from your own stash instead of cards
we provided? *

Add messages, sign the cards, and insert into envelopes *BUT DO NOT SEAL*.

Here are some *suggested* greetings, but please feel free to send whatever
greetings you think fits in these pandemic times.

*- Return your finished cards to the church office by December 10.*

When your cards are completed and signed, slide them into the envelopes *BUT
DO NOT SEAL *the envelope - just fold in the flap. Then put the cards back
in your packet, and return the packet to the office.

*IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please call the church office (740-373-1238) in advance
to be sure someone is there to receive your finished cards. Usual office
hours are M-W-Th-F 10am - 2pm. But a call beforehand is advised. Thanks!*

*- Can't get to the church office to return finished cards?*

Contact Adeline Bailey (adesign4199 at gmail.com) and we'll work out a way to
get your cards back to the office.

*The project team will assemble the finished cards for delivery to 10
different nursing care facilities in the Marietta/Parkersburg area.*
