On this Sunday, September 29, the Today’s Issues group will discuss two
essays from the September 26 issue of the New York Review of Books.

Page 20. Jed Rakoff, “The Last of His Kind,” Justice John Paul Stevens’
memoir reflecting on his first 94 years of life.

Page 38, Paul Starr, “The Battle for the Suburbs,” a review of a book
called Why Cities Lose: the Deep Roots of the Urban-Rural Political Divide.

The group meets in the parlor of the Religious Education building next to
the Church. Please do the reading and join our lively discussion.
