[Fuusm-l] Circle Supper Hosts

First UU Family,



Circle Suppers are a great way to get to know people in the congregation
better.  The conversations are always interesting, the company enjoyable,
and the food tasty.  And while they are potlucks, we still need someone to
host them in their homes.



I am recruiting hosts for Feb. through Dec. 2020.  The Circle Suppers are
usually on the first Saturday of each month, but they could also be
scheduled for the second Saturday for convenience or because of scheduling
conflicts.  Please check your calendars and see if you could host a Circle
Supper for one of these months:

            Jan. – no C.S.                                      Jul 4 or 11

            Feb. 1                                                  Aug. 1

            Mar. 7                                                 Sept. 5

            April 4                                                 Oct. 3

            May 2                                                  Nov. 7

            June – FUUSM picnic                         Dec. 5



Hosts typically provide the place, tableware and refreshments (and a dish
if you want ).  We work within whatever limitations you may set (numbers of
people, child-friendly house or not).  We even have a handy list which
summarizes the details of hosting a Circle Supper.  In the past, people
have hosted Circle Suppers at the Fellowship Hall (if they wanted more
space or if an outdoor dinner got rained out) and even teamed up as hosts
to spread the chores.  The main idea is to get together, enjoy
companionship, and get to know each other better.



So, if you have enjoyed our Circle Suppers in the past, please consider
hosting one, and let me know if you can do it.  It is an effective way to
enhance the life of the congregation, and it’s a lot of fun as well.
