[Fuusm-l] Today's Issues June 30 Readings (skipping this week)

The Today’s Issues group will skip this Sunday, June 23, because the church
is meeting at the Multi-Cultural Festival.  We will resume on June 30.

The group has been getting smaller as regular attenders move out of the
area or pursue other interests.  If you have an interest in the group,
please make it a point of attend. We do ask that you do the reading in
advance which helps to focus the discussions. Each week we select the next
week’s reading, and we welcome suggestions. We often read essays from the
New York Review of Books, but we also have included essays from the New
Yorker and the Atlantic, and sometimes we have discussed chapters from
books. We welcome your suggestions.

On Sunday, June 30, we will be discussing two essays from the June 27 issue
of the New York Review of Books

Page 18, Linda Greenhouse, “The Impeachment Question

a review of several books about the Muller report and impeachment.

Page 37, Michelle Nijuis, “Early Warnings,” a review of Nathaniel Rich’s
book Losing Earth: A Recent History, about the politics of the climate
change issue.
