Caring Committee
Annual Report 2018-2019

    The mission of the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Marietta is 
to actively support members and friends…in times of need and celebration.
    In the 2018-2019 church year the Caring Committee provided many services 
as follows:
1.    Sent 137 cards;
2.    Helped with the delivery of 77 community meals to members and 
friends;.
3.    Provided 33 other meals and treats;
4.    Made 4 12 home visits, 27 nursing home or hospital visits, and 
numerous supportive hone calls;
5.    Sent seven plants and other gifts;
6.     Provided about 100 other services, such as: assisting Rev. Kat 
Hawbaker and Chris Keller in coordinating memorial and wedding services and 
receptions; providing transportation, errands, and decorating holiday mugs;

    The Committee misses the late Gary Buckley, who volunteered to serve on 
the Committee for the period when he was a friend of our society. .
