Michelle Wilson and Gil Moore will celebrate Handfasting and marriage on
October 14th. We would be beyond thrilled if you could join us. We are
doing our ceremony at one of the most beautiful places we know, at the most
beautiful time of year. Kat will officiate, of course. We expect about
100 people, and we're very excited about the diverse "People salad" that
will be made that day.
We'd love to have you and your family attend! We are renting out the
Wisteria Campground and hope you can come enjoy nature on the day we bind
our lives together and celebrate love!
In case you are wondering, a handfasting ceremony has its roots in ancient
Celtic tradition, symbolizing the binding together of two people (and the
origin of the phrase "tying the knot!")
PEOPLE SALAD: We expect a very diverse group of friends and family and
believe having people with very different world views in the same space
facilities growth and learning for everyone. We hope you will join in the

Schedule of Events:
(Times are subject to change as we get closer to the event)
Noon - 2:30pm Arrive
Spend some time hiking the trails or visiting the sites on the land.
3:00pm Gather at Stone Circle
3:30pm Handfasting / Wedding Ceremony at Stone Circle
4:30pm Potluck Reception at Caffeina's Cafe
4:30pm Open Mic on the Stage
Please join in and contribute to the celebration of love.
Sunset - Fire, s’mores, conversation, dancing and drumming at the Heart
Hearth. Join us as we build togetherness in community around a fire. (BYOB)
If you would like to stay the night at the campground, there is a small
cost for camping but it's totally worth it to sleep under the stars. We'd
love to have a small group of friends join us there. We are renting limited
indoor spaces for those who need them (for example, those who need to sleep
with a c-pap machine).
Map of the grounds will be attached to the event discussion
Note: This community event is family friendly. However, there may be mild,
non-sexual nudity. (October is usually pretty chilly for that though.)
Suggested Items to Bring:
Hiking Boots
Camping Chairs
Drums to Play
BYOB
Something for the Potluck (If you can't, that's fine. There's plenty)
Family, Kids, Friends (no pets, sorry)
A tent if you want to stay the night
Something to leave at one of the sacred sites like the Faerie Shrine
NO GIFTS
If you'd like to bring something to contribute to the celebration, bring
something that represents one of the four directions to incorporate into
the ceremony or share your blessing at Open Mic.
For Reference:
East: Air, breath and inspiration.
South: Fire, transformation and action.
West: Water, feeling and reflection.
North: Earth, balance and wisdom.
Also, everyone is invited. If we didn't get an official invite to you, we'd
still love if you could come. Facebook limits the number of invites we can
send.
If you'd like to spend more time at Wisteria with us, the Autumn Fires
Festival is right before our special day. We did that on purpose so our
Wisteria friends could attend. Check out the details at this link

It's about an hour West of Marietta. Many FUUSM folk will be coming and we
encourage carpooling. We're very excited about our big day. Again, the
dinner is potluck, and we ask that no gifts be brought. We will be
providing some food and a couple pony kegs of good beer from JackieO's.
We are excited to celebrate this day with you! Hope to see you there,
Gil & Michelle
