[Fuusm-l] Today's Issues Slide Show and Readings

For this Sunday, December 2, the Today’s Issues group will have a slide
presentation of paintings by Eugène Delacroix. This will be followed by a
discussion of celibacy in the Catholic Church.

The readings for this week are both from the November 22 issue of the New
York Review of Books. The essays can be read without a password on the NYR
website, just click on the titles below:

NYR web site (click on the titles above).  The group meets in the parlor of
the Religious Education building next to the church. Please do the readings
and join our lively discussion.  Please email me if you have trouble
accessing the readings.


I am attaching one of Delacroix's best known paintings. There are a few
more on the NYR site, Ernie Novak will show us many more in the slide
show.
