For this Sunday, November 18, the Today’s Issues group will discuss two
readings from the November 8 issue of the New York Review of Books.

Page 14, Michael Hirsch, “Who will Speak for the Democrats
<https://www.nybooks.com/articles/2018/11/08/who-will-speak-for-democrats/>,”
about political leadership after the recent election

Page 31, David Quammen, “The Concrete Jungle
<https://www.nybooks.com/articles/2018/11/08/concrete-urban-jungle-evolution/>,”
a review of a book about natural evolution (animals, birds, insects, fish)
in urban environments.

Both articles are available without a password on the NYRB web site (just
click the titles above) so I won’t attach a copy to this email. However,
if you need an emailed copy, mail tedgoertzel at gmail.com

The group meets in the parlor of the Religious Education building next to
the church at 9:30 on Sunday mornings. Please do the reading and join our
lively discussion.
