REMINDER: FUUSM Office Holiday Closure July 4th & 5th

The office is also closed on Tuesdays.    Additionally, Chris Keller will be out of the office on Mondays -July 16, 23 and 30.    Plan accordingly!

The 10:00 Religious Explorations Adult program won't have formal sessions during the summer months when worship services are held in the Social Hall. Informal gatherings in the Courtyard are welcomed and encouraged, or consider attending the "Today's Issues" discussions,on Sunday mornings 9:30 - 10:45.

The July Women's Group will meet at 6:00 p.m. , Wednesday, July 11, at the Banzigers', 202 Lawton Road in Devola (directions attached).  Come & enjoy summer watermelon, corn, salads, and other cooling foods. Topic will be humor and laughter. Tell about a time when humor helped or when you could not stop laughing. Come early at 5:00 p.m. to swim (there will be a surprise for wine or lemonade drinkers!). Please let  Gwen know if you can come.

Community Meal – Friday, July 13 (5-6:30pm)  Everyone is welcome



Circle Supper -  July 14th (note this is the 2nd Saturday in July) at Rising Moon Farm, home of Chris Hoke and Al Tuttle, in Middlebourne WV.  Driving time is a little over an hour from Marietta, so carpooling is recommended.  Dinner is planned to begin at 6 p.m., but Chris and Al invite you to come at 5 p.m. and take a tour of the gardens.  To attend, Darryl Ting (740) 374-8729 or Chris Keller (740-373-1238 or fuusm at suddenlinkmail.com) by Sun. July 8.  Al does not recommend GPS navigation to get there ... the GPS maps for that area are not good.  Directions will be provided ... Al even has a short cut (all paved roads) that will save 20-30 minutes. July 15 – 22 OMD Summer Institute - a Unitarian Universalist all-ages camp in the Ohio-Meadville district. For families or individuals, the week-long camp held at Oberlin College. Several FUUSM members often attend, and Rev. Kat has served as a youth chaplain at OMDSI for several years, including this one. The SI Program Chair said that this year's theme focused on Hope. "Hope that, together, we can defeat the climate change that is threatening the world."
