September 9    All Ages Ingathering Water Ceremony

The Water Ceremony has a history as a ritual that acknowledges different images of the divine and the ways we gather as a spiritual community. Water is a basic element of all life on this planet. Come celebrate our common humanity as we gather our waters and resources for building our beloved community. Everyone is invited to bring a sample of water, from your life’s journey or from a favorite watering hole, to pour into the common bowl as we look forward to our program year.

• BRIDGES Meet & Greet – Join us in the Social Hall after the service to meet our teacher – Lucy Filipow and learn what we will be doing for our young people this year. 



E.V.E. (Ending Violence for Everyone) Inc. – Benefit Auction – Fri. Aug. 24, 2018 (7pm)

Mid-Ohio Valley Friends Meeting (Marietta/Parkersburg Quakers) will be hosting the Fall Gathering of Friends (and any interested folks not necessarily Quaker)  September 21-23, or just come for the main events Sept. 22-23, 2018 at the Bishop Hodges Spiritual Retreat Center in Huttonsville, WV.  The weekend is a great blend of sociability, spiritual refreshment and topical workshops   We Quakers love being able to connect with Marietta Unitarians when we can...
