Special Opportunity to learn more about Worship & Music:

Come talk to us in the Fellowship Hall during coffee hour this Sunday, Jan. 29th! 

 

Featuring: Worship & Music Committee 

The central mission of the Worship & Music Committee is to plan and present meaningful, diverse, and inspiring worship services of high quality. To do so, we collaborate closely with the Reverend Kat Hawbaker.  

During Kat's sabbatical year, we grew to appreciate her more and, also, to appreciate the rich resources of our congregation's members and friends. So, we are taking this opportunity to invite your ongoing feedback and participation as we plan our Sunday services and other projects.  

Here are some ways you can be involved:

1.   Suggest topics for Reflections and share names of potential speakers.

2.   Suggest readings or stories or songs or recorded music.

3.   Give us feedback on what works and what could use improvement.

4.   Volunteer to be a Time for All Ages reader or storyteller.

5.   Volunteer to be a Worship Associate. We provide training for the behind-the-scenes tasks, and we are flexible about the in-service involvement. You sign up for days that fit your schedule.

6.   Volunteer to help with Sanctuary decoration.

7.   Volunteer to help with holiday decoration of the church.

8.   Join the choir.

9.   Let us know that you play a musical instrument.

10. Volunteer to help with special services or events (e.g., Coffeehouses, Solstice Celebrations, concerts, potlucks).

11. Share your artistic, technical, or verbal strengths for our publicity and outreach efforts.

 

12. Consider, too, becoming a member of the main Worship & Music Committee. We meet in the Parlor at 5:00 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month to plan a few months ahead and then each take responsibility to guide specific services or projects.
