[Fuusm-l] Soul Connections Group Reminders for the Week

You are welcome to attend any of these.  There are 3 this time. Both Tuesday
and Wednesday are open to the public free events, and there is a
holistic-psychic fair on Sunday that charges an admission fee.  Our group is
not hosting the fair, but we will have a space among the vendors.

Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017

7 to 9:30 pm 

1400 Washington Ave, Parkersburg, WV (corner of Latrobe St./Washington Ave.;
1st Christian Church Basement) 

 

Chair Yoga & Yoga Nidra (Led by Margaret Hattman) Open to the public;
however not child friendly.

            Chair Yoga:   Gentle yoga sequence while sitting on chair or
standing beside chair for support.  Modifications will be suggested for any
poses that cause stress or discomfort for any participants.  

Wear layers of clothing for comfort.  Wear socks and bring a large towel or
small blanket since we will be practicing with shoes off.  Also towel or
blanket can be folded for support for feet.    There will also be some
pranayama (breathing) and meditation.  About 50 min- 1 hour

            61 points Yoga Nidra:    Yogic sleep.  This is a guided
relaxation technique where you are fully aware and awake while falling into
a deep relaxation.  This is best practiced while lying down in case you do
fall asleep.  Again dress in layers, bring a large towel, blanket or yoga
mat to lie on floor.  If you have difficulty lying flat on back, you might
want to bring an extra towel or blanket to roll under knees or ankles.
About 15-20 minutes

            NOTE:  IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE NIDRA EXERCISE,
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO QUIETLY LEAVE AFTER THE CHAIR PRACTICE, OR QUIETLY ENTER
YOUR OWN MEDITATION PRACTICE.  SILENCE BY PARTICIPANTS IS REQUIRED FOR THIS
SEGMENT OF THE CLASS; NO TALKING.

AURAS:  Defined, Identified and Influenced  (Facilitated by Reiki
Practitioner, Mark Redd)

 

o   Most people have heard of "auras," but want further explanation of
exactly what they are, how to see them, and how they might be read for
understanding and possible meanings about the person or object they
surround.

o   A clear definition, understanding the science, learning the auric levels
and colors, and appreciating the benefits of aura reading will all be
considered, with follow-up conversation by the Group.

o   This will be a layperson's introduction - not an in-depth discussion of
the subject matter - offered as a basis for further research, analysis, and
education on the part of interested Attendees.

o   Bring your curiosity of the subject, your questions, your knowledge, and
prepare to share in the Soul Group Discussion of Auras!

o   Partnered with this discussion will be "Chakras" on March 8, 2017.

Events are open to the public. Love donations accepted (to cover group
operating costs and allows offering free events.)

 

Pre-registration preferred, but not required (Aids in setting up the space
and providing handout materials)

MARIETTA HOLISTIC & PSYCHIC FAIR  

This event occurs in Marietta three times a year and is hosted by Carol
Borkoski, owner at Angelgift Center in Dillonvale, OH.  Soul Connections
Group will have space at the fair and be offering Reiki sessions for making
a love donation to support group operating costs and allow offering free
events.

            Admission is $5.00.  Free lectures are scheduled throughout the
day, attendees may schedule sessions with various readers for a fee, and
there will be vendors selling a variety of items/services.  A basic flyer is
attached listing what is available at the fair.
