The Today's Issues discussion group will meet at usual at 9:30 on Sunday in
the parlor of the Religious Education building next to the church.
Everyone is welcome, even if you do not regularly come to the discussion
group.
The reading I sent out on Monday seem a bit dated since they were written
before the election. No specific readings are required for this
discussion, we have all been following the election. I do, however, have
three selections that you may find of interest.
Michael Moore's "Five Reasons Why Trump Will Win
<http://michaelmoore.com/trumpwillwin/>" which was published before the
election and turned out to be more prescient than any of the pollsters.
David Brooks, The View from Trump Tower
<http://michaelmoore.com/trumpwillwin/>. Brooks is a conservative NY Times
columnist, but he ends with a prediction: "After all, the guy will probably
resign or be impeached within a year. The future is closer than you think."
Paul Krugman, Thoughts for the Horrified
<http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/11/opinion/thoughts-for-the-horrified.html>.
It is also interesting to read the comments on the Brooks and Krugman
essays on the Times Web Site.
