[Fuusm-l] UU Plant Sale: A Call for Plants and Volunteers

Good morning,

      I am Maggie Meyer, a member of the UU Plant Sale Committee. As most
of you probably already know, the Garden Tour itself has been  cancelled.
However, we are planning a UU Plant Sale. So to quote Martha McGovern:
“Cicadas loom!  Help the Plant Sale Bloom!” We will be needing lots of
plants. We are asking that the gardeners among you set aside plants for the
sale. The sale will be Sunday, June 19 from 2:00-5:00.

      Obviously, we have no practical way of maintaining plants at the
church until the sale, so we are asking that you help us by selecting and
maintaining donation plants at your home. Then, the week before the sale or
ideally on Friday, June 17, or before 9:00 on Saturday the 18th, when we will
begin pricing, bring your plants to the church. Also, if you have good
ceramic pots or window boxes that you are not using, please consider
donating them.  NOTE: These are to be for sale without plants so the
quality is important.

      Equally important, we will need 12 volunteers to sell plants and pots
on Sunday the 19th.  We will need six volunteers for the first shift, which
is 1:00-3:30, and six for the second shift 3:00-5:30.

So if you are willing to “Help the Plant Sale Bloom!” please *e-mail me
some time this coming week.*
1) If you are donating pots and/or plants, just *send me your name* and
write what you will be bringing:  *plants* and/OR *pots*.
2) If you are volunteering to sell plants, *sent me your name, the shift
you prefer, and your e-mail address.*
