Empty Bowls Marietta 2016 "So others may eat"   

Saturday, April 2nd 2016 (11am-1pm)  First Congregational Church -318 Front Street.

The Empty Bowls Project is an international grassroots effort created to address the issue of hunger in one's commuity.



Invite friends and family, neighbors and co-workers. to enjoy soups provided by the area's finest restaurants, plus a variety of breads donated by Panera Bread, homemade desserts donated by church voluteers, and assorted beverages.



With a cash donation ($12.00-adults, $10.00 children) select a handcrafted ceramic bowl, delicious soup/crackers/cookies/bread ..Also you can participate in a silent auction of original artwork and unique bowls donated by the individual artisans or students in art classes in area schools.      

Sponsored by- FUUSM, First Congregational Church of Marietta and St. Luke's Episcopal Church and held In Honor of Caroline Putnam who brought the first Empty Bowls project to Marietta in 2003.      All proceeds  support our local food pantries.

Capital Campaign Steering Committee-Wed., April 6th, 2016 (6:00pm) in the parlor of 

the RE building. ALL are welcome to the third Congregational Conversation on the repairs/renovations to our grand old church. We want to hear from you - members, friends, occasional visitors - everyone interested in the future of our church building and sanctuary.  We are dedicated to listening to all opinions and perspectives on the future of our buildings and we are working toward a consensus plan for the future.  Please join us on 

April 6th and let your voice be heard.
