FUUSM Family,
This summer the BRIDGES program will be focused on Global Climate
Change.Included in the program will be Sunday activities (usually
projects and handouts) on how to reduce the impact of Global Climate
Change and a summer-long Home checklist for the kids to do.This summer
we are trying out a point system for participation and prevention
accomplishments, and a celebration and awards at the end of the program.
We encourage the kids to bring their friends …. It’s always more fun
with friends.
It will be very helpful to our planning if parents could give us an idea
when their kids plan to participate, so we can have enough materials and
adults to help.
Our planned schedule for the summer is:
June 26Introduction to Global Climate Change - Tent Greenhouse – Darryl
July 3Composting Kitchen Waste - Worm Composting Demo –Dawn Hewitt
July 10Eating Locally - Paper Pots & Basil Seed Balls – Darryl
July 17Solar Power Heating - Solar Oven Melted Chocolate & Fruit – Darryl

Attached below is the Global Climate Change Home Checklist.Parents are
encouraged to help the kids with this checklist. We are hopeful this may
initiate some discussions about other steps at home to reduce the impact
of Global Climate Change.
Sorry I can’t tell you what the prizes will be.We’re still working on
that part.
