Here are the discussion topic, both from "The New York Review of Books":

June 23 issue, Page 76: "Portugal's Empire: Ruthless and Intermingling

July 14 issue, Page 21: "Money: The Brave New Uncertainty of Mervyn King"

Unfortunately, both essays are too large to be sent as usual, even after
stripping out the graphics, but this publication is available at the
Marietta College library, and the Today's Issues Class copy is in the
parlor; please return it to the parlor when finished.
