The United Way of Washington County is having what we call our third annual Community Baby Shower to collect baby (0-2yrs.) items for our county's food pantries and three of the United Way agencies - Eve, Inc., Mid-Ohio Valley Fellowship Home (for recovering addicts and their families), and the Salvation Army's emergency food pantry and clothes closet.  Although Marietta College and United Way volunteers are going out to local stores on April 15 and 16 to ask shoppers to consider buying a baby item while shopping and dropping it off with the volunteers outside the store, we are also looking for groups who are willing to assist us with this venture. The UU Women's group is going to collect baby items for us at their next meeting. If any of our UU members and friends would bring a baby item (i.e., baby food, formula, diapers, clothes, health care products, sippy cups, etc.) to church this Sunday (10th) or next Sunday (17th), there will be a box in the Fellowship Hall to collect your gifts.
