We just received this at work from the Marietta Chamber:

"A Marietta first will be happening on Wednesday, April 6. Governor Kasich will be delivering the State of the State Address to the Ohio General Assembly in Marietta on the evening of Wednesday, April 6, 2016. Marietta will be bustling on Wednesday in an effort to ensure certain matters are addressed. 

To accommodate the entire assembly and reduce threats, the Parking Partners Lot on Second Street will be closed all day beginning at 7 a.m. to local vehicles. Beginning at 7 a.m. and until the event concludes, Putnam Street between Second and Third Streets will be closed. Pedestrian traffic will be able to continue until approximately 4 p.m. that afternoon when that area will become restricted for security reasons and accessible by credentials/ticket only. 

 Also beginning at 7 a.m., Third Street will be closed between Putnam Street and Butler Street. All efforts will be made to allow bankers access to Huntington Bank that morning and afternoon. Pedestrian traffic will be able to continue until approximately 4 p.m. that afternoon when that area will become restricted for security reasons and accessible by credentials/ticket only. Detours will be in place if you happen to find yourself in those areas of town."
