Thank you, Nancy. Your response really helps clarify the process.

For a long time I have been feeling very much indifferent about my active
involvement in church activities. I have attributed that feeling somewhat
to the covid pandemic and to my own health issues of the past year and a
half (fyi, I am much better these days...feeling better and feeling
stronger). However, I think that the crux of my indifference goes back to
the unresolved issues that emerged from Rev Kat's treatment of Chris and
the inability of the congregation to handle that set of circumstances in a
way that could be or could have been constructive for our group as a whole.
Resolution has not happened and it seems to hang over my attitude toward
church activities. For me, resolution or a more defined path to resolution
would be extremely helpful. Resolution would consist of, at least in part,
a much more open and complete discussion of the events that occurred
between Kat and Chris and possibly an open discussion regarding steps that
have been taken or could still be taken to act as a remedy. I have been
thinking about a "truth and reconciliation" process or some variation to
achieve that end.

Thanks to you and others for your continuing efforts,
Joe
