[Council] Minutes of January 6 meeting of the Worship & MusicCommittee -- Altar Guild, Light issues

Hi, Kevin --

Thanks for the quick response and action!

piano light: Honestly, we aren't sure what the process is. Chris Purdy spoke directly with Chris Keller, I think. We as a committee have not spoken with him. Payment for the light can come out of our budget -- if that is appropriate. We aren't clear where the line is between piano maintenance and other purchases that fall within B & G's territory. If you give us the green light, we'll move forward.

Altar Guild, Clutter Corps: Hurrah for Wendy!! [In the minutes, I omitted Virginia Henthorn as a potential member -- though I had included her in an earlier email.]

Martha,

We'll review the Worship Committee's suggestions/requests at our next B&G meeting first Sunday in February. We did look at the light at the bottom of the stairs and agreed the bulb was out. Jamie or I will replace it in the next week or two.

Regarding the piano light, was that an FYI for B&G or do you need our help? Sounds like you've already picked out a light and have it in your budget to get it.

I think I've talked Wendy into leading the charge on the Altar Guild / Tidy Committee (or whatever they decide to call themselves).

I'm going to get the B&G committee to bless the idea and then run it by the board to make sure they approve. I suspect she may get moving ahead of the formalities, so thanks for all your help getting her started.

Kevin
