Not to be shared beyond the committee.

** I have asked Chris Keller to be more active, return to duty with the Caring Committee to facilitate communication, and because she is a caring person and knows about caring and esp. with this congregation.
I wait for consent and affirmation before sharing notes, as she is often listed, but she knows that.



Agenda with NOTES from Nov. 2

I.  General & Old Business
A.  Welcome & Chalice Lighting- we all managed to chime into Zoom or phone or text.
B.  Attendance:  Joan Coffey, Facilitator;  Lori Fahn, Gwen Banziger, Chris Hoke, Board Liaison & Rev. Kat Hawbaker;   Stassa Phillips (by phone) & Barbara Kidd (text); rpt of Bev B. by Rev. Kat.

BK has several friends in chemo.  BevB.  “Rainbow with Starry Eyes”  Spirit Circles,
Son Jeff is in a rehab center.  Daughter Nicki is anxious.  ETC
 
E.  Review of Notes/Minutes for 10/5 meeting  - OK by acclaim.

	Lori Fahn is doing a good job & will continue.


II.  Plans to support members & friends
   
A.  Chris & Josh  the same & not good.
Bring a meal to Chris- blended for Josh.
Lori will take a meal;

B.  Jean S		Gwen is a primary contact.

C.  Tabatha & Jammie		will get a meal from Joan, later in the month from Stassa, and Gwen as well?

D.  George & Brenda Lisk - Stassa will bring a meal  Sun. Nov. 8

IV. New Business
   A.  CC contribution to couple hoping to adopt?  Rev. Kat just made a contribution from Ministerial Discretionary Fund.  Caring Committee need not make a contribution as well.  Individuals have donated directly.  WE CAN use word of mouth to promote their community efforts, ie. art auction, rather than the official  fuusm-L at fuusm.org  email list.
 
B.  Use church freezer to store prepared food ready to deliver?
Decision to recommend to the Board that we (FUUSM) donate the one (already unplugged) in Nursery area, AND
Allow 3 months to determine if the one in kitchen is useful for inviting people to prep meals that could be sent out or picked up easily.  This would be beneficial IF it also allows other people to prepare food and freeze for future caring efforts.
Caring Committee currently makes meals and arranges for delivery so it has a personal touch and food doesn’t sit in the feezer.




Holiday Mugs
17 mugs upstairs in RE Storage, supplies??  Stassa has some
Gwen will email out list from last year, we will review;
Kat & Stassa will prep supplies and talk to Jim about cutting greenery.


Support for Celebration of Life for Ron Tepley
Sanctuary & Zoom Service Sat. Nov. 14, 2020 	(3pm)

FUTURE DISCUSSION
Revisit Phone Tree for regular contact and feeback.
**Wait for direction from Women’s Group  Wed. Nov. 11 (6pm) 
	- small groups serve a similar function, providing connection.

Committee on Ministries is also interested in future plans.
