<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 8pt;line-height:115%;font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">My name is Martina (Marti) Thompson, and I am a recent
graduate (May 2024) of the UU House of Studies at Methodist Theological School
in Ohio. That same month, I also completed a two-year internship at UU
Fellowship of Lima, a lay-led fellowship. I am in the process of preparing for
an interview with the Ministerial Fellowship Committee in pursuit of ordination
as a UU minister. I have been a Unitarian Universalist for over 40 years, and I
consider this to be an exciting time to enter UU ministry. We have a
distinctive theological voice that the world needs to hear.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 8pt;line-height:115%;font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">I am available to preach at your congregation. I love
creating integrated worship services including music and readings. I can also
simply provide the sermon if that is your preference. I am happy to work with
your Worship Committee to craft a service that meets your needs. In addition, I
can provide a children’s story to accompany the sermon.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 8pt;line-height:115%;font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">In addition to Sunday worship, I am also available for adult
RE workshops or series. Topics include UU101 For Everyone, Religions of the
World, and Holocaust Education Reduces Antisemitism. Workshops are available in person on Saturday, or virtually for 4 to 6 weekday evenings.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 8pt;line-height:115%;font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">Fee arrangements are according to UUMA guidelines, plus IRS
professional mileage. If over two hours from Lima, OH, overnight hospitality
will be needed for Saturday night. If your congregation is unable to pay
according to the guidelines, please contact me to see if we can work something
out. I am committed to ministering to small congregations regardless of their financial
resources.</p>
