essential and integral part of our worship services, and Randall Kidder’s
contributions to those musical elements are extraordinary.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>We understand that FUUSM’s financial
resources are constrained, but we would like to encourage the Finance Committee
and Board to make arrangements for <span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>compensation that are cost effective and
also support high quality worship services and reflect the value of his
contributions.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">

<p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 14pt; LINE-HEIGHT: 115%"><font face="Calibri">Specifically, we
are not convinced that the decision to award an additional Sunday off with pay
in lieu of a pay raise meets those criteria.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>The quality of the worship service is
diminished without Randall at the piano, and giving an additional paid day off
seems to send a mixed message about how much his musical gift is
appreciated.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Furthermore, the
Worship & Music Committee budget often must absorb the cost for a substitute
pianist on those days off.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Money is
not being saved; the cost is just felt in a different place in the
budget.</font><o:p></o:p></span></p></div>
