I am having a lumpectomy on Friday, May 7th. It’s been 6 weeks of testing and worry since that first call-back mammogram. It is a breast cancer diagnosis but it is the best type I could get. It’s Ductal Carcinoma in Situ (DCIS) which is non-invasive and contained. I have a very good prognosis with this lumpectomy and some radiation. It’s a long haul of surgery, doctors, radiation, medications but I am so thankful it is not invasive. It could be much worse.
I wanted to let you know. I value our group.
Love and peace to you all,
