Mike Lang had computer problems last night, but he connected later using his iphone. </div><div class="yiv7566518858gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia, serif;"><br></div><div class="yiv7566518858gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia, serif;">If you use a laptop, the microphone has to be working. You can do voice-only without video, but it is better if you can also turn on the video. It's more like a real men's group meeting if we can see each other.</div><div class="yiv7566518858gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia, serif;"><br></div><div class="yiv7566518858gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia, serif;">It's a good idea to mute your microphone when you're not speaking. If there's a lot of people, I'll take the responsibility as host to call on people. We'll have our usual check-in, sharing what's happening in our lives. </div><div class="yiv7566518858gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia, serif;"> </div><div class="yiv7566518858gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia, serif;">It seems to work well with the Chrome browser, with other browsers it may be necessary to install the Zoom software. If so, it will prompt you to do so. </div><div class="yiv7566518858gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia, serif;"><br></div><div class="yiv7566518858gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia, serif;">Installing the software on your laptop seems a good idea anyway. It is easy to go to Zoom.com in advance of the meeting (click the button on the upper right where it says "jon now it's free"). Once you learn this you may use it for other things including church services on Sunday.</div><div class="yiv7566518858gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia, serif;"><br></div><div class="yiv7566518858gmail_default" style="font-family:georgia, serif;">If we find this helpful, we can do it more often than once a month. It looks like we'll be having a lot of free time. Maybe we would like a once a week check-in where we share pointers for dealing with life in a pandemic? It's an idea we can discuss tonight.
