FUUSM Men,

This is a follow-up to the suggestion I made at Men's Group last week that we form a group that could help people in our congregation who needed some help with fix-it jobs around the home. There was a positive response to that idea and
several people said they would be willing to be in the group.

So this follow-up email is for two purposes: communicate the concept of the group more broadly (especially for those who weren't at the last Men's Group gathering) and ask for volunteers.

Here's the basic idea... The group would only take on jobs that were within our time and talent. We would assess the specific jobs and make a decision about that. There may be a need for some coordination, but lets evolve into that
as we go along. As far as who we help, I propose that we work through the Caring Committee and let them bring the folks in need of this service to our attention.

So if you are interested in participating in this group, please respond and let me know. Where we go with this idea depends on how many people are willing to do this kind of work. So let me know.
