<div class="x_gmail_default">We are sowing native seeds on Middle Island along the entrance road we cleared of invasive brush over the past year. These areas will get new sunlight and we want native plants to take advantage of this.</div>

<div class="x_gmail_default">We made great progress last week, but we need to get the rest of this seed into the ground ASAP. So
<b><u>three</u></b> seed-sowing workdays this week: </div>

<div class="x_gmail_default">Monday: 10AM-Noon</div>
<div class="x_gmail_default">Tuesday: 1-3PM</div>
<div class="x_gmail_default">Wednesday: 3PM-5PM </div>

<div class="x_gmail_default">This is easy, fun work. We will rake areas where we have cleared to bare soil, sow seeds and then lightly rake it again. Hopefully nature will do the rest. Rain is forecast for later in the week to water the plantings!<br>

<div class="x_gmail_default">This seed mix is a hardy woodland edge seed mix of native grasses and flowering plants (forbs) that hopefully can gain a toehold in the "edge" ecosystem. </div>
