I am sorry for the last -minute notification, but I just found<br>
out about this today.<br>
<br>
Roxanne Groff from Athens County, who is a member of the Ohio<br>
Brine Waste coalition, informed me that our county commissioners have<br>
an idea to lift the cap on injection-well (barrels) fees and ask the<br>
state to send these extra funds back to the counties with injection<br>
wells. If anything, this will likely increase the brine waste coming<br>
into our county.<br>

Below is the message from Roxanne and the Zoom link for the<br>
public meeting sponsored by the County Commissioners for tomorrow<br>
(Thursday) at 10:30. Roxanne is not even sure that they will take up<br>
this issue tomorrow.<br>

I am not sure what our commissioners will do. That money dangling in<br>
front of them is tempting...for them...not us! I am actually shocked<br>
that they might consider it!<br>

did not do anything with it. I asked our county commissioners to NOT support it. Our commissioners will be discussing it in their meeting tomorrow. I notified a few folks who have been involved with all of the asks to our commissioners in opposing injection
well applications in Athens County. I really don;t know what they will say or how they will vote. Of course I am hoping they will not support it.<br>
