to your mailing list a few months ago. I am writing now to encourage you to join
the current nationwide "bank on our future" project organized by
Third Act. A group of environmental activists in the Athens area came together back
in 2020 mainly to protest against Chase Bank, the biggest funder of the fossil
fuel industry, and some of our members have recently helped launch the Ohio Chapter
of Third Act. <span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in;font-size:12pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span> </span>In a national
campaign, Third Act is asking people to pledge to move their money out of the
four major "Dirty Banks" if significant action isn't taken in the very
near future by the banks to end their fossil fuel funding. The National Day
of Action will take place on March 21 with demonstrations, including people literally
and symbolically closing their bank accounts and cutting up their credit cards,
and Athens is hosting one of the Ohio demonstrations planned for that day. I
hope you can join us by circulating the pledge to sign and participating in the
demonstration in Athens on March 21. <span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in;font-size:12pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><span> </span>People can sign
