On April 11, the Marietta Earth Day Celebration group will be holding a hard-to-recycle items event from 10 till 2 at the People’s Bank parking lot in Harmar, just across the Putnam Street bridge. Things collected include mattresses, appliances, TVs and more—and all of this will be RECYCLED, not trashed. Kathy Ortt is coordinating this, and she could use some helpers. If you’re willing and able to help with (potentially) heavy lifting, please let me know and I’ll pass your email address on to Kathy. An organization from out of town that specializes in collecting and getting this stuff truly recycled will be visiting to conduct this, and some of their staff will be there, but additional helpers will be welcome.
Thanks for considering this!
