Dear All, I am asking Tree Commission about particulars on the tree cut on Front at Knox. Not sure it was Bradford pear. It was solid as a rock. Did not see any rot whatsoever in pieces of wood piled after cutting. Will share what I learn. Asplandunkola is contracted by AEP. <div><br></div><div>Workers are stubbing trees terribly all along Franklin, Gilman and Front. I walked down there today; the tree that has been removed was a Bradford pear that was not in good shape. They are invasive, short-lived trees with weak wood, and that one had been deteriorating for some time, with branches breaking off onto the sidewalk. In my mind, removing it was a good call. Another tree closer to the river in the same area has also been cut.
